Bradford Hall Care Home, a new purpose-built care home, is preparing to open in Bradford, bringing 72 bedrooms, a range of communal facilities and new job opportunities to the area.
The home, on Kimberwicke Walk, Eccleshill is due to open in summer 2026 on a site adjacent to the former Union Mills. The home is owned by Burghley Care and led by a team with more than 20 years’ experience in the care sector.
The new home has been designed to provide residential care, dementia care, respite care and end of life care in a modern setting focused on comfort, dignity and wellbeing.
As well as 72 private bedrooms, Bradford Hall will include a quiet lounge, activity room, music café, sports bar, hair salon, garden room, landscaped gardens and a private dining and family room. It will also feature a well-being kitchen, giving residents the chance to cook or bake in a safe and supportive environment.
The home is expected to create a range of new roles ahead of opening, with recruitment open days due to be announced shortly.
Chris Lane, chairman of Burghley Care, said: “We are pleased to be bringing Bradford Hall forward as our latest care home and to be expanding our presence in West Yorkshire.
“Our aim is always to create homes that deliver high-quality care in an environment where people feel comfortable, respected and part of a community.
“I have worked in the care sector for more than 20 years and throughout that time the focus has remained the same, which is making sure residents are well cared for, treated with dignity and able to enjoy life as independently as possible in a setting that feels genuinely welcoming and homely.
“Bradford Hall has been designed to offer excellent facilities, but just as importantly it will be a place with warmth, dignity and a real sense of home for the people who live there. As we move closer to opening, we are looking forward to building a strong team and becoming part of the local community.”
Ian Ward, Managing Director of Torsion Care, said: “Bradford Hall marks a significant milestone for us. While we have extensive experience in developing and constructing high-quality care homes, this will be the first to open under our new Burghley Care brand, which makes it particularly exciting.
“The scheme has been thoughtfully designed to deliver a modern care environment centred around the needs of residents, families and staff, combining high-quality accommodation with welcoming shared spaces that support wellbeing and social interaction. We’re very much looking forward to bringing this to life and welcoming our first residents.”
