Deputy Manager

To support the Care Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care, compliance with regulations, and a safe, supportive environment for residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the overall operations of the care home
  • Ensure high-quality, person-centred care is delivered to all residents
  • Supervise and support care staff, including training and performance management
  • Act as the Manager in their absence
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and care plans
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff rota management
  • Handle complaints, incidents, and emergencies appropriately
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals

Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience in a senior care role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of care standards and regulations
  • NVQ Level 3/4/5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent preferred)
  • Compassionate, organised, and resilient
