Deputy Manager
To support the Care Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care, compliance with regulations, and a safe, supportive environment for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the overall operations of the care home
- Ensure high-quality, person-centred care is delivered to all residents
- Supervise and support care staff, including training and performance management
- Act as the Manager in their absence
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements
- Maintain accurate records and care plans
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff rota management
- Handle complaints, incidents, and emergencies appropriately
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
Skills & Requirements:
- Experience in a senior care role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of care standards and regulations
- NVQ Level 3/4/5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent preferred)
- Compassionate, organised, and resilient
